Corinne K. Akahoshi

Corinne Akahoshi is senior manager of export and marine operations at Toyota Logistics Services (TLS), a subsidiary of Toyota Motor North America, Inc. (TMNA) based in Plano, Texas. In this role, she is responsible for ocean transportation for finished Toyota and Lexus vehicles including both imports and exports. Akahoshi oversaw the company’s largest expansion in exports of U.S.-built vehicles, now reaching Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Oceania. She’s also responsible for managing logistics for vehicle imports from France, Mexico and Turkey.

In her more than 20 years of logistics experience, Akahoshi has managed inland transportation and strategic planning for finished vehicles from Toyota’s North American plants to more than 1,500 U.S. dealers.  Her field experience includes managing logistics at Toyota’s Long Beach port operation; and helping to design the rail facility at Toyota’s manufacturing plant in Mississippi.

Akahoshi holds a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Allegheny College.  She enjoys hiking, music, and travel.

Jeff Ross

Jeff Ross is the Global Procurement Director for Supply Chain at Nike, Inc.  He manages a global team that is responsible for all sourcing activities in the areas of 3PL/Warehousing, Inbound Transportation, Small Package/Courier and Outbound Transportation. Prior to joining Nike in 2007, Ross worked at IKEA, based in Singapore. At IKEA he was accountable for all logistics for the Asia Pacific region as well as responsible for IKEA’s global Ocean transportation sourcing. Before IKEA, he was the GM C.&N. China for Sealand Logistics, GM C. China for BAX Global and a variety of management roles at Evergreen Aviation while being based on Hong Kong and Shanghai.  Ross started his career at Evergreen Aircraft Sales and Leasing as a financial analyst.  He has extensive knowledge in the Logistics, Transportation and Sourcing industries spanning over 25 years. Ross holds a BS BA from Oregon State University and an MBA from the University of Louisville.

Marlon B. Jones

Marlon Jones is the Manager of International Distribution for International Paper.  In this role, he is responsible for operations management, procurement and supplier management for all IP exports from North America.

Jones has more than 26 years experience with the company in the areas of Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Capital Project Management, and Procurement.  He has a wealth of experience in supply chain management, operations and execution.  He is an active member in the International Logistics Community participating on the following councils: Agriculture Transportation Coalition and International Forest Products Transport Association.

Jones holds his BA from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX.  He also has advanced studies at Michigan State Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, The World Maritime University and Leadership Training at the Prudential School of Management.

Jones is a native of San Antonio, TX.  He and his wife Renee reside in Collierville, TN.  They have one child, Lauren, who attends the University of Tennessee.  He enjoys golfing, fishing, motorcycle riding, and spending time with family.  

Peter R. Bresnee

Peter earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration/Transportation Management from the State University of New York Maritime College.  From there he began his logistics career working for Mobil Oil on board the SS Seminole transporting refined oil products from Texas to Florida.  At the conclusion of his maritime career Peter transitioned to shoreside employment in the operations department of the former German containership company, DSR Senator Lines in New Jersey.  In 1997 Peter joined Kia Motors America to start up their North Eastern port of entry at the North East Auto Terminal in Jersey City, NJ.  He spent four years there building the operation and collaborating with all the 3rd party logistics providers to make it a successful operation.  In 2001 Peter joined Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC in the Vehicle Logistics Department and held positions of increasing responsibility at the corporate office in New Jersey and roles in the field at the port of entry in Long Beach, CA, and at the Northeast Region as Sales Operations Manager.  Peter has been the Director of Operations for GLOVIS America since 2015 and oversees all facets of the transportation network including the port operations and plant VPC operations which collectively move over 1.4M Hyundai and Kia units each year.  Along the way he earned his MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University and has retired from the US Navy Reserve as Lieutenant Commander.  Peter maintains an active US Coast Guard License to sail as a 3rd Mate Unlimited Tons Upon Oceans.

Ronald Hildebrandt

A Tacoma, Wash. native, Ronald Hildebrandt grew up in the transportation industry. His father began work in the Tacoma tideflats as a truckdriver following World War II, and Mr. Hildebrandt learned transportation and customer service one stop at a time along his delivery route.

Mr. Hildebrandt’s career has included time as a volunteer fireman and emergency medical technician, as well as being mayor of South Prairie, Wash. He currently serves as the Vice President of Logistics for Trident Seafoods Corporation, based in Ballard, Wash.

Trident Seafoods, the largest seafood processor in the United States, producing over 900 million pounds of seafood each year, and currently ranked among the top 125 export shippers from the U.S. Trident Seafoods Logistics is responsible for over 400 million pounds of product in storage in over 300 worldwide locations, with over 75 million pounds of product in transit at any one time.

Trident’s latest expansion is purchase of PickenPack Seafoods in Europe, and our new production plant and distribution center in Carrollton, now fully operational.

Mr. Hildebrandt’s experience includes serving as Transportation Manager for Sysco Foods and Manager of Transportation Pricing for Lamb-Weston. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree (finance) as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.

Mr. Hildebrandt lives in Poulsbo, Wash. with his wife of 35 years, Marcia, and spends weekends following his grandson’s baseball games.

Scott Pollard

Scott graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Industrial Engineering and from Indiana Wesleyan with an MBA. He has been employed in various positions within Nissan for over 20 years. He started as an Industrial Engineer and has spent time in manufacturing, quality, as well as supply chain. Scott currently manages the finished vehicle logistics operation group which includes responsibility for ports, plants, and export operations.

Stuart Countess

Stuart Countess is the Chief Administrative Officer for Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG). In this position, Countess is responsible for leading the Human Resources and Administration Division including Team Relations, Public Relations, Safety and Security, Environmental, General Affairs, Legal and Sales.

He previously served as the Vice President of Quality overseeing overall vehicle quality for the Kia Sorento, Kia Optima and Hyundai Santa Fe, as well as supplier quality, process quality, customer satisfaction, warranty and ISO/TS certifications for Business Management Systems. Originally, Countess joined KMMG in 2008 as the senior manager for the General Assembly Shop. 

Countess came to KMMG from Mercedes Benz US International in Vance, Ala. where, for more than 13 years, he served in numerous leadership positions within production and quality, including being the supplier quality manager, quality manager and assembly manager. In those roles he was responsible for vehicle assembly, supplier quality, overall vehicle quality, process quality, customer satisfaction and warranty.

Before joining Mercedes, Countess was the senior supplier quality engineer for AUTECS, a tier 1 supplier for Nissan and Subaru. Countess led the development of a supplier quality program that included localization of parts within the U.S. And, prior to that, he served as quality engineering administrator for Hughes Georgia in LaGrange, a division of Hughes Aircraft. There he was responsible for quality related activities of the Maverick missile program.

He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering and received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from LaGrange College.

Countess and his wife, Dana, live in LaGrange, GA and have four children: Laura (24), Thomas (22), Jac (20) and Anna (16). 

Tim Hinckley

Tim’s 25+ years of supply chain experience has included retail operations, warehouse management, technology integration, trade compliance as well as supply chain consulting, logistics, business development and strategy.  

Over the course of his career he has successfully helped companies develop and build competitive logistics advantages that improved cash flow, sales and costs while growing sales and market share at his own companies. 

He was among the early employees at RPS, Roadway Package System and worked for FedEx Worldwide Services and International Divisions. 

Responsibilities included global strategic leadership assignments associated with Aerospace, Hi-Tech, Retail, Footwear, Flower, E-Commerce and Industrial sectors. 

For the last three years, Tim has been leading the global logistics organization for Hasbro based in Providence, Rhode Island.  His organization directs and controls distribution, transportation, warehousing, inventory, global trade and customs as well as general logistics policy for Hasbro from point of manufacture to delivery. 

For the last 23 years, Tim has resided in the Boston area with his wife and two sons. 

He earned an MBA from Auburn University and a BSBA from Bowling Green State University.  His hobbies include running, cycling, skiing and traveling.

Tom France

Tom France is the Director, Global Transportation and Supply Chain Solutions at Caterpillar. He manages a team of professionals that are responsible for about 4,500 order-to-delivery ocean based locations globally, ships over 20 billion pounds of product and manages over $2 billion of freight spend annually. He has an extensive background in international operations, acquisitions and divestitures, business strategy, finance and accounting and growth market planning. His industry experience includes automotive, heavy equipment manufacturing and international trade technology solutions companies. Prior to his more than 20 years of experience in industry, Mr. France was an officer in the United States Navy. He has also served on the Board of Directors for financial and academic institutions. He has a B.S. in economics and an MBA in Finance & Accounting from Vanderbilt University.
