Former U.S. Senator Mack Mattingly to Serve as Chairperson of the 39th Annual Georgia Foreign Trade Conference
BRUNSWICK, GA U.S.A., September 16, 2005 The Georgia Foreign Trade Conference (GFTC) has announced the selection of former U.S. Senator Mack Mattingly as the chairperson for the 39th Annual Georgia Foreign Trade Conference, January 22 through 24, 2006.

An international audience comprised of more than 400 senior level executives representing shippers, ocean carriers, consultants, the trade media and other logistics service providers will convene for the annual 3-day event at The Cloister, a five-star resort located on Georgia’s Sea Island and host to the 2004 Big-8 Summit.

Conference activities begin on Sunday, January 22, with registration and an International Night Reception. Following opening remarks and a keynote address on Monday, January 23, the business sessions will commence.

The Georgia Foreign Trade Conference is organized annually by the Savannah Maritime Association, the Independent Freight Forwarders and Custom Brokers Association of Savannah, Inc., the Georgia Stevedore Association and the Georgia Ports Authority.
